The markets visit the town on Thursdays and Saturdays and the local Farmers' Market, where you can find wonderful local produce, is on the third Friday of the month. We are blessed with a plethora of producers: Three bakeries, The Bakery Café, Oxfords, and Town Mill. Whether it is delicious breads and patisseries from the bakers, cheese and wine from the delicatessens, or fresh meat from the award-winning family run butchers. There are some wonderful shops to roam through ranging from the Present Finder to some marvellous antique shops and emporia. If you are looking for that special something for your house or a gift for a friend or family Sherborne has it! Guests are spoilt for choice with the location of Clare Cottage just minutes' walk away.

There are many National Trust properties to visit in Dorset, Somerset and Wiltshire and Sherborne is ideally located to visit many of them.
